Intelligent Algorithms
  • Heated humidifier maintains the humidified air’s temperature as it passes through the hose and into the mask.
  • Therapy starts automatically when it detects the three deep breaths with Auto Start technology.
  • Auto Ramping technology begins with a lower than prescribed pressure setting to ease the user to sleep, and the pressure is ramped up to the prescribed level once the patient is asleep.
  • Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) lowers the pressure setting as the user exhales and increases pressure to the prescribed level on the inhale.
  • 110-240 AC Power Supply: The DreamSleep™ DS6 APAP AC with 110-240V power supply, US, UK, EU, AU plug etc.
  • Auto adjusts air pressure on a breath by breath basis, allowing air pressure to vary throughout the night.
  • The built-in LED ambient screen adjusts brightness based on the light in the room and turns off automatically.
  • Advanced event detection function identifies central sleep apnea, respiratory effort related arousal and Cheyne-Stokes respiration events to provide insight into the therapy protocol.
  • Auto Air-Leakage Compensation: With auto air-leakage compensation, the CPAP machine can detect the amount of leak in real-time and make automatic adjustments to the air pressure to maintain the desired therapeutic pressure.

Advanced Events Detection

With its up-to-date algorithm, VentMed APAP Machine DS6 can identify and analyze different types of respiratory events, letting the device accurately and automatically adjusts the air pressure to provide immediate relief and ensure that you receive optimal therapy.

Meanwhile, all the therapy insights in 2 years are saved in a SD card. The data can be reviewed on the device’s screen, a windows computer, which can be shared with your physician. So you can always get the information needed for compliance.

Monitored Respiratory Events

  • OAI (Obstructive Apnea Index)
  • AHI (Apnea–Hypopnea Index)
  • PB (Periodic Breathing)
  • FL (Flow Limitation)
  • CAI (Central Apnea Index)
  • HI (Hypopnea Index)
  • SNI (Snore Index)
  • RERA (Respiratory Effort Related Arousal)

Two Therapy Modes (APAP & CPAP)

VentMed APAP DS6 can be set in either CPAP(manual mode) or APAP(auto mode). It is like having two machines in one. If your prescription calls for a fixed pressure, the device can be set up in CPAP (manual mode). If you need to be titrated to a new 95th percentile pressure, the machine can be switched to AUTO.

Users pressure needs can change with time, health and even sleep positioning. Unlike a Manual CPAP, the APAP adapts to these changes and provides the correct pressure for every apnea event.

More Superior Features You’ll Love

When EPR is activated, the CPAP machine detects when the user is exhaling and reduces the air pressure accordingly. The pressure is then increased back to the prescribed level when the user inhales.

By reducing the pressure during exhalation, EPR can help promote more natural breathing patterns and prevent airway collapse or obstruction. This can improve the effectiveness of therapy and reduce the likelihood of discomfort, which can lead to more consistent use of the machine and better sleep quality.

Our CPAP machine detects when the mask is being worn and automatically initiates therapy after you taking 3 deep breathing cycles. And when the mask is removed, the machine will automatically stop in a few seconds, conserving energy and ensuring a longer lifespan for the device.

The Mask Off / Power Off alarm is designed to alert user in the event that the mask is accidentally removed during the night or a power outage or other interruption. The advanced technology in our CPAP machine detects when the mask is no longer in place and alerts user with a gentle audible alarm. This ensures that you can quickly and easily resume therapy and prevent any disruption to your sleep.

Experience a gentle and gradual transition to sleep apnea therapy. The Auto Ramping function is designed to provide a gradual increase in air pressure at the beginning of therapy. This helps users acclimate to the pressure and ease into therapy, leading to a more comfortable and effective experience overall.

With the Auto Ramping function, users can customize the duration of the ramp period to fit their individual needs and preferences. Whether users need a longer or shorter ramp time, our advanced CPAP machine allows them to make adjustments that work best for them.

Our consumable parts, like masks, filters, and tubings, are designed to be universal, meaning that they can be easily found in most medical stores.

Easy to Set Up

Simply watch our user guide video below and follow the intuitive step-by-step process and you’ll be up and running in no time.

How to Choose the Mask Size?

Nasal CPAP Mask(covers nose)

A physician may recommend nasal CPAP masks to users who:

  • Move around in their sleep a lot.
  • Experience claustrophobia when wearing larger masks.
  • Breathe through their nose.
  • Have a lot of facial hair.
  • Prefer a more natural airflow.

Full Face CPAP Mask(covers mouth & nose)

A physician may recommend Full Face CPAP masks to users who:

  • Breathe through their mouth primarily.
  • Need a high-pressure CPAP setting.(Full face masks work well for higher CPAP pressure settings since the wider mask surface area makes the pressure seem less direct and more tolerable to the patient.)
  • Have allergies or other medical issues that make it difficult for them to breathe through their nose.
  • Sleep on their back.

Air-leakage may lead pressure insufficient, which can affect sleep quality or cause chest tightness. There are two main reason for air-leakage. 1. mask not worn tightly.  2. humidifier cover not sealed.

If air leakage occurs, please refer to the following operations.

1. check your air leakage data on the screen (sleep report), if the value is less than 35 then everything is fine and vice versa.

2. Choose a mask with the right size that fit for your face or nose.

3. Put on the mask before turning on the machine and make sure it is tight enough.

3. Make sure the humidifier cover is closed tightly. (You can see there is a large gap if not covered well, which leads to air leakage.)

The device has many high-sensitivity sensors, and it alarms with ‘beeping’ sound when it detects air-leakage. Please inspect the mask, tube at both ends, and the water chamber carefully to make sure they are fitted correctly and not air leaking. You can read air-leakage data on the screen, if data is over 30, it means the air-leakage is occurring. The beeping sound will disappear once there is no air-leakage.

The machine stops automatically a few seconds later if the machine detects mask off. It works to avoid motor idling.

How to clean your CPAP machine

Time it takes: 5 minutes

Supplies you’ll need to clean your machine:

  1. Sink or tub
  2. Warm, drinking-quality water (86°F / 30°C)
  3. Mild soap
  4. Clean towel

Weekly step-by-step cleaning tips:

  1. Unplug the machine. Wash the water tub and air tubing in warm water using mild detergent. Do not wash in a dishwasher or washing machine.
  2. Rinse the water tub and air tubing thoroughly and allow to dry out of direct sunlight and/or heat.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the device with a dry cloth or towel.

You will know that therapy is on when the air fan icon is rotated. The current treatment pressure is shown in white words.

During ramp time the pressure is gradually increasing and you will see a blue triangle icon on the screen once the prescribed pressure is reached.

The screen will go black automatically after a short period of time. You can press any button to turn it back on.

(it feels like getting too much air

If you are feeling too much air at the beginning of therapy, the Ramp may be turned off. You can turn on the Ramp time and the pressure will increase gradually at a pleased speed.

It feels like I am not getting enough air. Ramp may be in progress. Just wait for air pressure to build up or turn Ramp Time off.

Replacing your CPAP supplies is a necessary part of device ownership. Following the recommended replacement schedule helps ensure the effectiveness and hygiene of CPAP therapy.
